Makemytrip.com is the largest online ticket provider to India from the US market including tickets within India. Makemytrip.com was relying heavily on google marketing and Hindi GEC channels to create brand presence and incremental sales. After an initial survey it was realized that though people knew about the brand they were not sure what services they used to provide. The survey was done on a sample from Gujarati community as they represent the largest NRI customer base in the US market.


Makemytrip tasked us to create ground level presence for the brand specific to the Gujarati community. We created a comprehensive plan to promote Makemytrip.com in the Gujarati markets which included –

• Gujarati Print with ads in language • Gujarati online websites • Outdoor campaign in key markets • Local TV targeting Gujarati community • Gujarati centric events • Nationwide Gujarati plays


After a 6 month campaign a research study was done to understand consumer perception about the brand. It was found that more than 60% of the samples knew that Makemytrip.com was an online airline ticket provider to India. Makemytrip.com registered an increase of 10% -15% in sales during the activity period
